Provider setup guide

Use WebShare with Social Browser.

Use WebShare-issued proxy endpoints and credentials with individual Social Browser Profiles.

Proxy infrastructurePer-Profile setup

Quick setup

Three steps from endpoint to Profile.

Create or select the proxy endpoint in your WebShare dashboard, then copy the server, port, username and password exactly as issued.

  1. 1

    Get the provider endpoint

In the provider dashboard, create or select the endpoint you want to use. Copy its protocol, host, port, username, and password.

  2. 2

    Assign it to one Profile

Open Social Browser Proxy Manager, select the target Profile, choose the matching protocol, enter the endpoint and credentials, then save.

  3. 3

    Launch and verify

Open that Profile and confirm the public IP and expected location before using it for important browsing or automation.

Provider note

Keep provider-side settings intact.

WebShare

Create or select the proxy endpoint in your WebShare dashboard, then copy the server, port, username and password exactly as issued.

ImportantSocial Browser stores the proxy configuration for the selected Profile. IP pool quality, geo targeting, bandwidth, session rotation, billing, and proxy availability are controlled by the provider.

What goes where

Map provider values to Proxy Manager.

Provider protocolHTTP / HTTPS / SOCKSUse the protocol shown for the endpoint.
Server / hostproxy.example.comDo not include the port in the host field unless the UI asks for a combined address.
Port8000Use the exact endpoint port from the provider.
Username + passwordProvider credentialsPreserve location or session parameters embedded in the username.

Common problems

If the endpoint does not work.

407 / authentication error

Re-copy the credentials exactly. Check whether the provider uses username/password auth, IP allowlisting, or both.

Timeout or connection refused

Confirm the endpoint is active, the port is correct, and the selected protocol matches the provider endpoint.

Unexpected country or rotating IP

Review the provider dashboard and any location/session parameters in the username. Rotation behavior is provider-controlled.

WebShare + Social Browser

Configure once. Keep the Profile isolated.

The proxy belongs to the selected Profile, so other Profiles can use different endpoints or direct connections.
